Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineers are involved in researching, developing, and operating electrical tools and machinery. Their work widely ranges from global positioning systems to large electrical power plants. Electrical engineers who have good analytical skills, equipped with latest developments of technology, ability to maintain and serve electrical equipment will have assured place in any reputed company.

Electrical engineers are responsible to build several equipments like broadcast and telecommunication systems, lights and wiring in buildings and apartments, and machinery controlling systems. They also construct electrical systems in aircraft, and power generators and transmitters. Global positioning system is another emerging field for electrical engineering.

Electrical engineers need analytical skills to develop and enhance the quality of a project. They should be perfect in decision making and trouble shooting. Colour blindness will be one of the great drawbacks to an electrical engineer.

Electrical engineers can be hired by all levels of government i.e., central and state governments, manufacturing industries, research firms, developmental organizations, software companies, defense industry, gas, water, petroleum, and electricity firms. Rapid growth in robotics and telecommunications sectors provide great career graph for electrical engineers. The salaries are also good in these fields for efficient professionals.
